👋 Hi @Animesh Singh it is great to see you here. It was great to talk to you the other week. If you have any questions, please let us know
a
Hey @Emre (Cerbos) Sorry for the late response. We got busy in other workloads. I have checked out your existing documentation and the demos but we haven't gotten to building a PoC yet.
e
ok. Let us know if we can help
a
My requirement is pretty strict on having a GUI interface. Maybe we missed this on our call so I'll give a brief about the problem. So the company is a large medicine company and we want a way to develop a way to let multiple people handle authorization permissions. Say for a example, the product manager has a simple easy to use GUI interface where he can grant/revoke permissions on a sales guy working under him.
As for architecture, we have a service oriented architecture where mulitple services communicate with each other. Sadly every service has it's own authorization, so when a person says joins a team. He has to be given specific access from that service itself.
We'd like to sort this mess out and develop a simple central authorization system for giving permissions. These are multiple identity server involved so it should be decoupled from the IDP which is why are giving Cerbos and OSO a try.
e
And are you looking to embed such GUI in your application?
a
Yes. The GUI has to be a seperate server running where people can login and authorize people to different services. As you said that Cerbos currently doesn't have a GUI so we'll be building one for this task.
If you can suggest a better approach for the problem statement, that would be great!
e
Let us get back to you on this one.
a
Sure. Also i'm currently a junior dev here and firstly looking to build a report on this approach. I might miss a few things but the crux of the problem is similar to as I stated. Thanks for being so helpful!
