can you please add bash to the docker image? it's virtually important to support it without being able to shell in to debug

What is the issue you're trying to debug? We ship a minimal image without an OS to keep the size and the security surface small. You can still use a debug container running in the same namespace (e.g. an ephemeral container on k8s) to access the original.
